About Us |

We are a relatively small but active group of Video enthusiasts located in the Scarborough catchment area and meet at The Friends Meeting House, Woodlands Drive, Scarborough at 7.30 pm on the first and third Thursdays of each month.
The Society has its roots in photography, but it is also very much aware of the latest developments in multimedia and is keen to attract new members, who can contribute to our greater understanding and utilisation of this exciting new form of communication.
We were formed in 1989 when a group of people got together to share their interests in the use of video cameras, which at that time was a fairly new innovation.
Some of those founder members are still with us today, namely:- Harold Barker, , Eddie Whitehead and Max Payne.
Our main object is still to share ideas and help each other in all aspects of Videography.
At present we are concentrating most of our efforts into producing group videos which gives all members the chance to be part of a team. Of course we still have a very wide programme of events which we hope caters for anyone with an interest in using a video camera.
Our subscription is £15 per year.
Plus each member pays £1.50 per meeting which covers the cost of the room.
